Our Core Values
Faith and Worship: Avoda means both "to work" and "to worship" in Hebrew. We believe that our daily work is an act of worship to God Almighty. Helping people in need is a reflection of our faith and devotion to God, the Creator of all people.
Compassion and Service: We are committed to serving those in desperate need, providing not just food, but also hope and comfort.
Community and Support: We foster a supportive and loving community, both among our team members and with the people we help. Together, we create a network of care and compassion that extends across borders.
The Iu Mien people consist of 12 beautiful tribes. Though we no longer have our own country, our
traditions remain alive in our language, dress, stitching, and farming methods.
The Karen people are an ethnic group living in the mountains of Thailand and Myanmar. They are known for their beautiful weaving, use of their own language, and preservation of traditional customs through rituals and community support.
Meet the Active Christian Avoda Team
Our work is led by the vibrant and passionate Active Christian Avoda Team. These young local Thai Christians, aged 16 to 29, come from humble backgrounds and are often first-generation believers. They face challenges at home and in society due to their faith, yet they are eager to give back and share the love they’ve received.
The team is driven by a deep love for Jesus Christ and a desire to help those in need. They are dedicated to feeding the hungry, comforting the hurting, and bringing joy to refugee children through play and sharing the Gospel. Their enthusiasm and compassion make volunteering with them an incredibly rewarding and fun experience.
