2,000 Lives in Food Crisis

The Myanmar-Karen war has forced thousands to flee to the Thai-Myanmar border for safety.

Fighting and unrest have destroyed villages and food sources, leaving refugees facing severe food shortages. Inadequate nutrition leads to malnutrition-related diseases and affects children's growth.

Start just $10 per month.

Can help Karen refugees reducing the risk of diseases and suffering caused by war.

Message from food recipients.

I came to stay with a poor family who sometimes had no work and struggled to find food.

Avoda brought us food, and I was so happy to take it home. The homeowner said, "We’ve survived for a few more days. Thank you, Avoda, for bringing us this food."

I am the eldest sibling, responsible for taking care of my family because my parents don’t have regular work, which makes life difficult. I work after school to earn money for food.

The Avoda team came to help, and I thanked God and Avoda for the food they provided.

I live with my mother and three younger siblings, facing a difficult life in fear of Burmese soldiers. My mother took us to stay with my aunt.

The Avoda team brought food, which made me very happy. I thanked God and the Avoda team for the food that will help my family for several days.

Life in Myanmar was hard, and I struggled to provide for my six children. We moved to Thailand seeking a better life.

I am grateful to Avoda Food Aid for their support, especially the dry bananas, which give me strength. Thank you for making a difference in our lives.

My life in a small village changed when my husband and son were conscripted as soldiers and died in battle. I fled with my daughter and became separated from my sister. Along the way, I prayed for our safety and was overjoyed when my sister returned to the refugee camp.

I thank God for the food we received and believe this help came from my prayers.

After my surgery in 2001, I could no longer work, and my wife had to work hard to support our family during COVID-19. We received help from Avoda Food Aid.

I thank God and the Avoda team for their support that has helped our lives. May God bless everyone who helps us.

Due to the situation in my country, I had to flee to Thailand. Life here has been very difficult, and I am unemployed. However, I thank God and the Avoda team for providing food aid, which has been a great help for me. May God bless everyone.
