Raimund Homberg is a visionary leader, dedicated mentor, and passionate advocate for faith-based transformation. As co-founder of the Avoda Foundation, Raimund has devoted his life to empowering marginalised communities in Thailand and equipping the next generation of leaders to live purpose-driven lives rooted in biblical principles.
Raimund’s journey began in 1991 when he experienced a profound calling while reading the Bible.
He felt God’s clear direction to proclaim the Gospel and teach others to use the Bible as a handbook for life. This calling ignited his lifelong mission to bring hope and healing to communities through faith, education, and empowerment.
Faith in Action
Raimund’s leadership philosophy is grounded in the belief that " the Bible is the Creator's Manual to Lift." He teaches that applying biblical principles to daily life can break the poverty trap, restore dignity, and create lasting change. His vision is not only to share the Gospel but to help individuals and communities unlock their potential through practical and spiritual transformation. In 2012, Raimund co-founded the Avoda Foundation alongside his wife, Sriphai Homberg, formalising their decade-long efforts in outreach and education. Today, he serves as a mentor and coach, guiding Avoda’s mission to integrate faith-based values with practical solutions to the challenges faced by vulnerable populations.
Notable Achievements
• Faith-Based Leadership: Established the Avoda Foundation as a trusted name in mission and aid work, addressing critical needs such as emergency nutrition, education, legal support, and vocational training.
• Mentoring Future Leaders: Raimund has dedicated years to coaching and mentoring young Thai Christians, equipping them with the tools to lead with integrity and purpose.
• Environmental Advocacy: Played a supporting role in Avoda’s efforts to prevent environmental harm, including the successful campaign against an illegal garbage burner in Tak province.
