Jae-Shin-Cho, a determined Karen girl from the Thai-Myanmar border, striving for the fundamental education that she and everyone deserves.
Amidst the chaos and hardships of war, her life has been filled with challenges—from fleeing conflict to arriving in an unfamiliar land, where she struggled to access education.
But today, everything has changed! Jae-Shin-Cho has been given a life-changing opportunity at Avoda School. Here, she is learning Thai, receiving a proper education, and most importantly... she has come to know God. She actively participates in church—not only in worship but also by leading praise songs and helping prepare meals for church members.
Jae-Shin-Cho believes that education is the key to transforming her future. With great discipline, she is dedicated to her studies, diligently completing her homework every day. As the Bible says, “Let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance.” (Proverbs 1:5)
In 2025, she will complete her primary education through the non-formal education system and will then pursue vocational training at a technical college-an important step toward building her future.
