The war and conflict in Myanmar have not only destroyed homes and families but have also forced thousands to flee to the Thai-Myanmar border, destitute and lacking the basic necessities for survival. When people are forced to escape violence, the struggle to combat hunger becomes an everyday hardship. They lack food, clean drinking water, and other essentials needed to sustain life.

For many Burmese refugees, food scarcity is a daily battle. Without sufficient rice or nutrient-rich foods, they resort to whatever natural resources they can find. What they consider a "delicious meal" is often a banana plant from the forest, prepared with a chili paste made from locally available ingredients. Although these foods cannot provide the necessary nutrients for their bodies, they must eat to survive each day.

Amidst these hardships, the Avoda Foundation's FOOD AID project has been at the forefront of providing relief to Burmese refugees on the Thai-Myanmar border. With a commitment to alleviating hunger and suffering, we have been providing and distributing food, clean drinking water, and essential supplies to refugees in hard-to-reach areas. Although there has been assistance reaching refugees, there are still significant gaps that need to be filled. The support of compassionate individuals and organizations is crucial. It is the hope and encouragement that allows refugees to continue fighting through their hardships.
