Thank You for Your Support and Prayers

Your support and prayers make it possible for us to create real change in the lives of young people. Today, we want to share the story of two children with you.

Wai Zin Oo, 14 Years Old. She fled Myanmar and now lives in Thailand. She is a stateless Christian, and her family struggles to survive. Her father works in construction but earns less than others because he is an undocumented worker. She and her 9-year-old sister must save every bit they can to get by. Her life is full of challenges. Being stateless makes her feel invisible. But in the midst of these hardships, Avoda has stepped in—not only to provide basic necessities but also to give her access to education and a chance for a better future.

Wai Zin Oo has a dream—she wants to become a doctor so she can help others who are suffering like her. It may seem like a distant goal, but she believes that with hard work and the love and support of those who care, she can make it a reality.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." – Jeremiah 29:11

Phoy Pyae Min
Phoy Pyae Min

Phoy Pyae Min, 15 Years Old. His family was forced to flee the war in Myanmar. As Karen Christians, they had long endured oppression and injustice. Then, one day, a bomb fell near their village, leaving them with no choice but to escape across the border into Thailand—uncertain of what awaited them. Life in Thailand has not been easy. His father sells water, and his mother works in a garment factory, but their wages are far below the minimum standard. Every day is a struggle, and sometimes, there isn’t enough food for everyone.

Despite these hardships, Phoy Pyae Min has never lost hope. He has experienced God’s love through the support his family has received. Avoda has been by their side—not just providing food but also offering encouragement and light in their darkest moments. In times of despair, your support is a source of hope for Phoy Pyae Min and his family.

Thank you for your love and kindness, which give them the strength to keep going.

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." – Psalm 34:18

Please continue to pray for children facing hardships, that they may find peace and a better future. Pray also for the Avoda team to have strength and wisdom in their mission.

May God bless every supporter, keeping you in His grace as you take part in His work.
