Christian Persecution: Answer the Call to Help Persecuted Christians: Support Refugee Families and Rebuild Lives with Hope and Dignity!

The Avoda Foundation recognizes the unique challenges faced by Christian refugees who have fled Myanmar due to religious persecution. While Myanmar officially guarantees freedom of religion, many Christians, particularly those who openly practice or share their faith, experience severe persecution. This includes imprisonment, torture, and even death. As a result, Christian refugees are often left without any support and live in fear of further harm.

Avoda’s Christian Aid Program focuses on providing special support to Christian refugees in need. This program is designed to address their specific needs by offering food aid, shelter, education, legal assistance, and vocational training. Additionally, we offer spiritual and emotional support to help them navigate the trauma of persecution.

We understand the Bible’s command to “pay special attention to fellow Christians” (Galatians 6:10), and therefore, our Christian Aid budget is dedicated to providing support from Christian donors who specifically wish to assist their fellow believers in need. Through this program, we can offer Christian refugees a chance to rebuild their lives with dignity, security, and a renewed sense of hope in Christ.

By supporting the Christian Aid Program, you provide refugee Christians with essential support
to help them rebuild their lives after suffering persecution. For just USD 10 a month, your donation
will:

• Provide food aid, shelter, and education to Christian refugees who have fled religious persecution in Myanmar.

• Offer legal support and vocational training, ensuring that refugees can live and work legally in Thailand.

• Supply spiritual and emotional counseling to help refugees heal from the trauma of persecution and stay strong in their faith.

• Enable Christians to share their faith and support fellow believers through local church networks and outreach programs.

Your support of the Christian Aid Program ensures that those who have suffered the most are not forgotten and are given the chance to live freely, with dignity and hope in Christ.

  • Q1: How often do refugees receive food aid?
A: Avoda’s goal is to ensure that each refugee receives at least one nutritious meal per day. Each food box contains 32 meals for adults and 32 banana meals for children.
  • Q2: What is inside the food box?
A: The food box contains essential items, including precooked rice meals enriched with vitamins and minerals. The banana meals for children are solar-dehydrated and packed with nutrients to support their health.
  • Q3: How much does one food box cost?
A: The cost of a food box fluctuates based on market conditions. For up-to-date prices, please refer to our website.
  • Q4: Can I support this project with a regular donation?
A: Yes! You can donate USD 15.- or more each month to ensure that refugees continue to receive regular food supplies. Your contribution helps us distribute meals and provide essential support to those in need.
  • Q5: How does Avoda Food Aid help refugees beyond just providing meals?
A: Beyond nourishment, food aid offers refugees the strength to focus on finding work, getting an education, and improving their living conditions. It also provides them with hope, knowing they are not alone in their struggles.
  • Q6: What else does Avoda provide with food aid?
A: Alongside food, we offer spiritual guidance and support through our network of Burmese pastors. Refugees also have access to Avoda’s learning center for children and counseling services.
