When Financial Vulnerability Becomes a Barrier to the Future
For many marginalized and vulnerable families, daily life is filled with uncertainty. With limited income, few opportunities to save, and insufficient financial reserves or support systems when emergencies arise, even an unexpected expense can push a family into greater hardship. This can affect their ability to care for their children, meet basic needs, and plan for a better future.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, provide for their family, and face tomorrow with hope.

Avoda’s Approach — Building Stability Together
Avoda empowers marginalized and vulnerable groups through community savings groups, creating opportunities for people to develop saving habits, strengthen their financial management skills, and build a more secure foundation for their lives.
Through these groups, members learn to plan their finances, prepare for emergencies, and support one another. They also participate in establishing group rules, making decisions, and managing group activities transparently. This process helps develop discipline, responsibility, honesty, and confidence in becoming self-reliant, while fostering cooperation and trust within the community.
More then savings building people and communities
Community savings groups are more than a way to accumulate money. They are a shared learning process that enables members to care for themselves and their families, navigate financial challenges, and contribute to building stronger communities from within.
Guided by Christian values exemplified by Christ—including love, generosity, honesty, and responsibility—Avoda seeks to promote both economic empowerment and character development. The project also creates opportunities for Christians to serve as positive role models through their daily lives and contribute to strengthening families, communities, and churches for the long term. It welcomes people from all backgrounds, reflecting the values of compassion and human dignity.

From Vulnerability to Sustainable Stability
Our goal is to help people achieve greater financial stability, become self-reliant, care for their families, prepare for emergencies, and support others. We believe that when people have the skills, opportunities, and ability to work together, they can create positive and lasting change for their families, communities, and future generations.
